About Coach Loren

Player. Coach. Club Executive. Parent. I have played all four of these roles in the sport of volleyball.

I played two seasons in each of the ACAC (Alberta Colleges) and CIAU (now known as U-Sports). Since then, with over two decades of high-level volleyball coaching experience, I have led and supported teams across club, college, and provincial levels. Highlights include coaching multiple medal-winning teams such as Team Alberta North to back-to-back Arctic Winter Games golds and the 2011 U21 Provincial Champions, as well as guiding the Grande Prairie Regional College (now Northwestern Polytechnic) men’s team to a 52-26 record over three seasons. After a pause to focus on family, I returned to coaching with recent success head coaching our 14U team to the 2024 Division 1 Bronze in Provincials and assistant coaching the 2025 15U Division 1 Provincial Champions.

I am a NCCP Advanced Development Coach. I hold Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Training and Development degrees, and am a Certified Executive Coach (ACC). My family and I live and play in St. Albert, Alberta.
